Christopherson Studio

William Christopherson is a “Home Grown  "New York  artist”  from Syracuse, New York.  His realistic and impressionistic artworks are now sought by art collectors throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe.  His artistic technique has evolved from drawings of the Thousand Islands in the 1990’s , to watercolor, to acrylics, and now to vibrant oil pallet knife original artworks of the Florida coasts, the high peaks of the Adirondack Mountains, Europe, and in the   Thousand Islands, of upstate New York.

 His interest in drawing and painting  began in the early years of elementary schooling in Syracuse, where he was a standout artistic student.

As a student of Landscape Architecure at the New York State State University School of Environmental Science and Forestry, he excelled in courses of Basic Design, Drawing, and Art.

  During his 30 year working career as a Landscaspe Architect with the NY State office of Parks, Recreation,and Historic Prservation, he  pusued his passion for art as a pasttime. He  earned  awards at many jurored competitions for his uniques style of historical landscape drawings, and  seascape watercolors of the Thousand Islands, and the Central New York area.

His pen& Ink drawing "Historic River Pavilion" was used throughout New York State to commemorate the 100'th anniversary of New Yorks Thousand Islands State parks in 1998.

 William Chrisopherson retired from a 30 year career in Landscape Architecture in 2008 to finally pusue his lifelong passion for art on a full time basis.

 In March 2008, william Christopherson was selected as a Premier Portfolio Artist for Absolute Art.com, one of the largest on-line art maketing organizations in the world.  It is a priveledge to be recognized  at this level in the worlwide art community.

In 2000, William Christopgherson worked with a small group of local artists to begin the Arts Association Of Northern New York, based in Sackets Harbor, New York, and has served as it's President from 2004-2009. This organization has now grown to over 120 artists and art lovers from throughout New York State. He is a founding Board Member of the Sackets Harbor Arts Center which was officially opened in 2007.
